The brief
McLaren Vale Grape Wine and Tourism Association promotes the McLaren Vale wine region to visitors and supports the region's members.
That takes more than one website. Visitors need a place to discover the region and plan a trip, members need their own space, and the region's wine and its events each need a clear home of their own.
What we did
We started working with the association in 2015 and have built and looked after a connected set of websites ever since:
mclarenvale.info, the consumer tourism website for people planning a visit
members.mclarenvale.info, a dedicated portal for association members
mclarenvalewine.au, the website for the wine region
summervines.com.au and grenacheandgourmet.com.au, event sites for two of the region's events
The tourism website is integrated with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), so its listings of wineries, accommodation and events come from ATDW's national tourism data.
It also has a Trip Planner. As visitors browse, they can save favourite ATDW wineries, accommodation listings and events, and the Trip Planner collates them into a single plan for their visit.
We also host and support the sites.
